Intermodal updated on grant opportunities

WALNUT RIDGEThe Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Facilities Authority held their monthly meeting Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Lawrence County Meeting Room in Walnut Ridge where they discussed grant opportunities and other local economic updates.

“It’s been a good month,” said Intermodal Executive Director Graycen Bigger in the director’s report. “I’ve done a lot of outreach this month. At the end of August, we had a community foundation mixer in Pocahontas that was well-attended, introduced some new people to that. I had some good meetings with Mayor Ahrent out of Corning, Mayor Sutton in Pocahontas, and Judge Thomison (of Lawrence County) this month, mainly talking about some grant opportunities that I want to make sure that we get in sooner rather than later for the communities.”
