Final components being completed on new bridge
POCAHONTASARDOT District 10 Engineer Brad Smithee said Tuesday that final components of concrete curb, gutter and drop inlets are being finished up this week on the northbound lanes of the new Black River Bridge.
“We have been able to include a small portion of additional work to the project by bringing in ARDOT milling crews today (Tuesday) to remove some old worn asphalt from the new bridge lanes,” said Smithee. “[We’ll] be able to replace that with new asphalt in a just a few days in conjunction with the remaining portions of asphalt to complete the lanes for the new bridge.
