Division of Aeronautics awards grants to Pocahontas Airport
The Pocahontas Municipal Airport has undergone a massive transition in the past several months. Black Mold was discovered in the Airport Terminal back in August of 2019 that resulted from the last flood in 2017. Upon discovery the Airport began operating out of a portable trailer until a new Terminal could be built. Construction began on a new Terminal, Hangar, and Apron (Ramp) improvements. The project was finally finished in December of 2020 with and culminated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and official opening of the new terminal.
