BRTC enrollment down just over 6%
POCAHONTAS — Following the hard impact of COVID-19 on the nation and world, schools and, no doubt the teachers, faced a huge obstacle to overcome.
With enrollment down at BRTC just over 6 percent, President Dr. Martin Eggensperger says while the college and some of its employees have experienced the effects of the pandemic, he is thankful the decease is not higher as many of the colleges and universities throughout the nations are seeing drops as much as in the double digits.
Martens has had a significant positive effect on BRTC from a financial standpoint. He said the college was able to put money back into the reserves for the first time in several years. In fact, the conservative financial position he brought the school into in his just over one year with the institution, helped prepare BRTC for days ahead they didn’t realize they would be facing.
