PARAGOULD- The Black River Technical College Board of Directors held their quarterly meeting Thursday, August 3, at their Paragould campus as the institution prepares for the upcoming fall semester.
BRTC Vice-President for Student Affairs, Martha Nelson, reported that as of Thursday morning, the enrollment number (head count) was 959 at the Pocahontas campus and 376 at Paragould. She stated that the SSCH (student semester credit hours) was 14,233 and the FTE (full-time equivalency) was 949. Nelson noted that while the head count numbers are the actual number of people sitting in the classrooms, that, in many ways, that number tells the least about how the school is going to do financially throughout the remainder of the year. She said that the school gets their revenue by the number of credits times the cost per credit.
