Adminstrator talks new services, tech updates for local hospital

POCAHONTASSt. Bernards Five Rivers Administrator Jeremy Capps was guest speaker at the March 27 Pocahontas Rotary meeting where he discussed recent happenings at the hospital as well as future plans.

St. Bernards Healthcare officially took over operations of Five Rivers Medical Center last month and is leasing the facility from the City of Pocahontas.

“We’re looking at adding some other services, and we have a five-year capital plan to improve the facility as well,” said Capps, now in his sixth week with the hospital. “The equipment, technology, infrastructure and the people are the investments that not-for-profit healthcare organizations invest in; and that’s not going to be any different here with us. Folks are excited and are eager for all the things that are coming and I’m excited and eager for all the things that are coming.”
