Active COVID-19 cases remain steady in county

Governor not pleased with overall numbers

POCAHONTAS – The number of positive active cases of COVID-19 in Randolph County fell one over the week to 33 as of Tuesday night. Governor Asa Hutchinson said Tuesday he is not pleased with the steadily increasing numbers across the state but still believes the mask mandate will help stop the spread.

As of Tuesday night, data from the Arkansas Department of Health showed there to be 145 cumulative positive cases in the county with 2,507 negative cases, two deaths, and 110 recoveries.

Statewide there were 6,565 active cases with 40,181 cumulative, 449,725 negative, 428 deaths and 33,188 recoveries.
