Active cases of COVID in county climb to 25
POCAHONTAS - The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Randolph County has climbed to 25 cases as of Tuesday afternoon according to the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) - up seven cases from last week.
The official ADH dashboard reported a total of 348 cumulative cases with seven listed as probable cases. Of the 25 reported active, three were listed probable. There have been 305 total recoveries in the county, with four listed as probable, and 18 confirmed deaths from Covid.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) defines a probable case or death as “a person meeting clinical criteria and epidemiologic evidence with no confirmatory laboratory testing performed for COVID-19; a person meeting presumptive laboratory evidence and either clinical criteria or epidemiologic evidence; or a person meeting vital records criteria with no confirmatory laboratory testing performed for COVID-19.”
