Michael “Mack” Mc-Neil Early, 85, of Pocahontas passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Mack was born July 3, 1938, to the late Athol and Ray Gupton Early in the Ingram Community. He worked for General Motors in St. Louis, MO and was a member of Maynard Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Athol and Ray Early along with brother-inlaw, Joe Wright. Mack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alice Jean Hagood Early of the home; children, Michele Early (Larry Kayser) of Pocahontas and Lynelle Early of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Andrew (Vanna) Early of Pocahontas and John Martinez (Abigayl Vigil) of Omaha, NE. great grandchildren, Taylor and Abby Early of Pocahontas; sister, Exie Lois Wright of Pocahontas; niece, Janet Wright of Pocahontas; nephews, Jim Wright and Wayne Wright of Rockford, IL. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024, with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m. with Willie Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Kenneth Jenkins, Gerry Alphin, Andrew Early, John Martinez, Rick Hagood, and Randy Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Hagood, Ronnie Hagood, Jim Wright, Wayne Wright, Charles Jarrett, and Larry Kayser.
