Martha Matlin Harris Elliott, 85, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on Thursday, June 10, 1937, in Cullman, Alabama, to Floyd and Maybelle Hyatt Harris.

Martha’s door was always open, welcoming everyone. She was a breast cancer survivor who loved to sew, cook, and do word search puzzles while sipping on a diet Dr. Pepper; but she loved her family above all.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents, Floyd and Maybelle; brother, Charlie Harris; son Allen Elliot; and daughters Linda Woodard, Wanda Hall, and Joyce Martin; and five grandchildren.

Martha is survived by five daughters, Judy Hurst, of Pocahontas, Geraldine Trimm, of Pocahontas, Kathy Hart, of Newport, Brenda (Doug) Grissom, of Reyno, and Jennifer Collins, of Pocahontas; sixteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

A graveside service will begin at 2:00 pm, on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Gravesville Cemetery, with Joseph Ward officiating.
