The Veteran’s Day ceremony, normally conducted on November 11 each year at the Randolph County Courthouse sponsored by the VFW Post 4556 and American Legion Post 6 will regrettably be cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 virus.
The Pocahontas Kiwanis Club held the installation of club officers who will serve October 2020 through September 2021. The club officers were installed by District Lieutenant Governor, Lyndal Waits. Mr. Waits gave each officer a description of their duties to perform in the upcoming year. Officers installed for 2020-2021 are President Pat Johnson, Treasurer Maria Kovak, Secretary Angie Goodman, President-Elect Maxaline Grimsley, and Past-President Clarence Ungerank.
