Davidsonville wins Park of the Year for Region 2

POCAHONTASDavidsonville Historic State Park was recently honored as this year’s recipient of the Park of the Year for Region 2 of Arkansas State Parks. A special celebration luncheon was held for the staff Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the park to recognize them for the achievement.

The wider region consists of eleven parks including Bull Shoals-White River State Park, Mammoth Spring State Park, Woolly Hollow State Park, Lake Charles State Park, Powhatan Historic State Park, Jacksonport State Park, Lower White River Museum, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, Toltec Mounds State Park, Plantation Agriculture State Park, and Davidsonville Historic State Park.

Over the course of the 2019 fiscal year, the park overcame staffing shortages while always putting the park visitors as their top priority.
