Dalton Ladies Club meet Jan. 9

The first meeting of the year for the Dalton Ladies Club was held on January 9. The meeting was brought to order by Brenda Botard, our president. Karen Stubblefield led us in prayer. Barbara Ellis led the Pledge of Allegiance. Ginger Adams read the devotional “Why Do Women Cry.” Roll call was answered by telling what we liked about winter. Some of our ladies were challenged to find something good to say about the cold weather.
For our eye openers, Donna Brown showed us an eye catcher she made and a wall hanging made from an embroidery hoop. Both were pretty. JoAnn Chaffin brought a quilt block she made. The baby quilts for the babies for the Arkansas Children’s Hospital were also displayed. There were eight quilts brought. A motion was made by Brenda Botard to buy ten more quilts to send. Ginger Adams second that motion.
