Larry Dennis Hart
Larry Dennis Hart, 67, of Biggers passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 23, 1956, in Pocahontas to the late John and Retha Meridith Hart. On July 6, 1974, he married the love of his life, Rhonda. Larry was a farmer in Randolph County for 26 years. He later worked as a manager/equipment salesman for Heritage Ag for 25 years. He enjoyed everything about agriculture.
Farming was in his blood. He retired in March 2022. He served as a Justice of the Peace in Randolph County from 1997-2002. He also spent several years as a volunteer firefighter for the Maynard and Biggers- Reyno communities. Larry loved spending time with his wife of 50 years, especially driving backroads. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. Larry was a family man and loved doing anything with his daughters and grandchildren. They were his world. He truly had a passion for helping others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Larry enjoyed listening to gospel music and had a strong relationship with the Lord. He recently rededicated his life to Christ.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Retha Hart; grandchildren, Morgan Hampton and Baby Fluke; sister, Kay Brooks; brother, John David Hart; and in-laws, Loyd and Dorothy Godwin. Larry is survived by his wife, Rhonda Godwin Hart; daughters, Shauntae (Jason) Hampton, Phyllis (Sam) Fluke, and Rethalee (Brody) Morrow; grandchildren, Colby Hampton, Nathan Morrow, Natalee Morrow, Breanna Fluke, and Bayleigh Fluke; sisters, Beulah (Donnie) Bagwell, and Regina (Dave) Byers; brothers-in-law, Wayland Brooks, and Randall (Verna) Godwin; and many other relatives and friends. Vi s i t a t ion wi l l be Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 5-7 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 7 PM with Jed Daniels officiating Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 5-7 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 7 PM with Jed Daniels officiating and Shauntae Hampton delivering a eulogy.
