Kathryn Johnson-Lowtharp passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas. Kathryn was born on Friday, January 27, 1950, to Doris Johnson and Ruby Smith.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Doris Johnson, and Ruby Smith; her husband, Lyle Lowtharp; infant daughter, Cynthia Clay; infant granddaughter, Larissa Jewell; two brothers, Darrell Johnson, and Gene Johnson; and one sister, Denece Johnston.

Kathryn is survived by her sisters Sharon (Kendall) Bennett and Lavada Chastain; brothers, Phillip (Colleen) Johnson, and Steve (Karen) Johnson; children Phillip Dewayne (Belynda) Clay, Angela (Steve) Pfeffer, Vanessa (Jason) McQuay and Charlene (Rodney) Stalnaker; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was one of the strongest women you’d ever meet. Her happy place was her garden and listening to old country music each night. She is loved and will be missed greatly by her friends and family.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Harmony Cemetery.
