Kaldinia Meletokonane

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kaldinia Lace Meletokonane, a beloved wife, mother and devoted servant of the Lord. Kaldinia, age 57, of Pocahontas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 1. She was surrounded by the love of her family and the prayers of those who cherished her deeply.

Kaldinia was born in Nantucket and was the daughter of Shiene and Shylinne Lorhoin, both of whom she is now reunited with in the arms of the Lord. She is survived by her loving husband, Donnie Meletokonane, and their three children, Jerron, Jaylan and Jarooh, all of whom she cared for tirelessly throughout her life.

Throughout her life, Kaldinia was a shining example of faith and service to her community. She dedicated her life to praising and serving the Lord, and her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Kaldinia’s talents were many; she was a skilled homemaker, a talented seamstress and even worked part-time for the family funeral home during her formative years in Arizona.

A celebration of Kaldinia’s life will take place on Saturday, September 28, at the First United Christ in Faith Marshallese Church, where she worshipped and found solace in the presence of her spiritual family. The service will be a reflection of the love, faith and joy she brought into the lives of others. A meal will be provided after the services. The family requests side dishes be brought.

Kaldinia’s final wishes were to be cremated, and her ashes will be lovingly shared among her closest loved ones, ensuring that a part of her remains forever close to their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kaldinia’s memory to a charity or organization of your choice, as she would have wanted her legacy to be one of giving and kindness to others.
