Herbert Henry Zitzelberger 85, of Pocahontas passed away Thursday May 4, 2023, at St. Bernards Five Rivers Hospital. He was born February 17, 1938, to the late Joseph and Katherine Miles Zitzelberger in Engleberg. Herbert served our country in the Army.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Katherine Miles Zitzelberger; three brothers, Thomas, Julian, and Martin Zitzelberger; two sisters, Carolyn Cagle, and Marjorie Melton.

He is survived by brother, Victor (Sue) Zitzelberger of Maynard and sister, Betty (Lee) Taylor of Pocahontas; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday May 8, 2023, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday May 9, 2023, at St. John Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. John Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Shane Taylor, Conrad Zitzelberger, Wayne Cagle, Luke Zitzelberger, Zach Zitzelberger and Scott Lewis.
