The family of Harmon and Susan Seawel are proud to announce their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. The Seawels were married on 11/21/1973 at the McIlroy Church of Christ with Dr. Ray Chester and Bro. Don House officiating. They have been blessed with two children, Chester (Shelly) and James, and three grandchildren – Jayden, Morgan, and Mason Seawel. Harmon and Susan both retired from the Maynard Public School system after a combined 50 + years of service. Additionally, Harmon served as House Majority Leader for the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999 until term-limited in 2005. Both Seawels have written and traveled extensively in their retirement. Harmon continues to enjoy fishing all over northeast Arkansas and consulting with “the boys” at the Maynard Café each morning. Susan enjoys reading vociferously and visiting with friends and family. The family invites all friends and family to attend a reception in honor of the Seawels on Sunday, November 12 from 2 PM – 4 PM at Skaggs Church of Christ in Pocahontas.
