Frances was a faithful Christian who loved God and loved her family deeply. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker and helped operate the 230 acre family farm that she and her husband of 50 years farmed until he passed from this life in 2005. They raised cattle, hogs, and harvested their own hay crop every summer and always made a big garden full of fresh vegetables. They also enjoyed taking care of their home together and keeping it immaculately manicured.
She loved mowing their lawn and tending to her summer flowers each year. She was also an excellent Southern cook and could make anything taste good. Her Sunday lunches were always a specialty. Frances was a very hard worker and believed strongly in the value of a hard day’s work which she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She often reminisced of the times when she worked on the farm and how much she missed being able to work. Frances loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren so very much and was so very proud of each of them and their accomplishments.
She always wanted to keep up with their life happenings, ballgames, and any activi ties because thei r successes brought her joy. Church was also extremely important to her, and she attended regularly until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved singing the old hymns every Sunday and served as church secretary for many years at Grandview Free Will Baptist Church. She leaves her family with a legacy of faith, love, perseverance, and hard work. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 12:30-2:00 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.
