Randolph County Youth exhibit livestock at the Louisiana Ag Expo in West Monroe, on Jan. 13 and 14. The North Louisiana Agri- Business Council, AG Expo’s goal is to educate the public on the ways that Agriculture in involved in our daily lives. They offer a trade show with many exhibitors modeling new technologies that can be used on the farm and a Jr. Livestock Show. Each year over 10,000 people attend the Expo.
Members of both the 5 Star 4-H club and the Pocahontas FFA were proud of their accomplishments at the Ag Expo. Madelyn Hart won Grand Market Lamb. McKayla Sorg, won Grand Sheep Showman and Reserve Market Lamb. Claire Prondzinski came in as the Reserve Champion Showman and placed first in class Market Lamb. Clara placed first in her class with her Market Lamb. Laurel Dhority placed first in one class and second with her other lamb.
