Grand Champion

Carley Morgan, 11 years old, is a daughter of Ben and Leah Morgan of Portia. She is a sixth-grader at Sloan-Hendrix Elementary School, and has an extraordinary record of cattle showmanship accomplishments. Santa Gertrudis and Brangus cattle are her choices to work with. She has been showing cattle since the age of 5, starting with her bottle-fed steer Bandit. Overall she has won 62 showmanship awards. Her top honor of 23 silver belt buckles are for showmanship and for showing cattle in the Arkansas State Fair championships. She was awarded Arkansas Junior Showman of the Year and High Point Breed Exhibitor for the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association in the 2015- 2016 show year. She also received the Farm Bureau Purple Circle Award at the Arkansas State Fair in 2014, 2015, and 2016 for Junior American Breed Showman, Grand Champion Santa Gertrudis Bull and Grand Champion Santa Gertrudis Heifer.
