EMILIA V. ”EMMY” LAMBERT

Emilia V. “Emmy” Lambert, 80, of Pocahontas passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born June 15, 1944 in Ibaqu, Colombia to the late Agustin Vron and Emma Gutierrez. Emmy was very active in her community, she volunteered for numerous civic organizations including serving as a Pink Lady at Five River Medical Center. She was an active parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church. Emmy found great joy in working as a substitute teacher for the Pocahontas School District where she considered all of the students to be her children. She was a wonderful cook and baker and is especially remembered for her cakes and brownies. Emmy was very artistic and enjoyed many different arts and crafts including ceramics, oil painting, and cross stitch. Emmy’s greatest joy was found in being a mother and grandmother, a position which she excelled in.
Emmy was preceded in death by her parents, Agustin Vron and Emma Gutierrez; husband, Lowell Dean Lambert Sr; brother, Nester Gamba; and sister, Rossey Gamba.
Emmy is survived by her son, Dean (Karen) Lambert Jr of Marion; her daughter, Rose (Lavern) Bruton of Pocahontas; three grandchildren, Autumn (Joseph) Bankston of McCook, NE, Spencer (Brea) Bruton of Pocahontas, and Kelsey (Carrington) Ramirez of Pocahontas; five great grandchildren, Owen Young, Emilia Ramirez, Maysa Bruton, Cove Bankston, and Eisley Bankston; four sisters, Alicia Gamba, Lillia Gamba, Mary Ella Lozano, and Nancy Grimler; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 10-11 AM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 11 AM with Bill McCall officiating. Cremation has been as the method of final disposition.
