Maynard students observe Computer Science Week

Students from Mr. Callahan’s AP Computer Science Principles class supported by the Amazon Future Engineering Program at Maynard High School work with 4th – 6th grade students at Maynard Elementary School in their week-long observance of National Computer Science week, December 7 -13.

The students are learning logical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as block-based coding and algorithms. Last year Maynard High School received a $14,000 grant to help purchase Computer Science related equipment. The purchase of this equipment has enabled the Maynard School District to begin work on vertical alignment of its Computer Science Program in grades K-12.
