David June Glisson, 62, of Maynard, Arkansas, peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. David was born in Odessa, Texas on Saturday, July 18, 1959, to Bill Glisson and Evelyn Johnson Glisson.

David loved his Lord and his family. He also spent many years as a chief engineer working on riverboats.

David is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jazz Clemmons and stepson Josh Allen.

David is survived by his wife, Shelia Wilson Glisson; father, Bill (Jeannie) Glisson of Maynard; mother, Evelyn Glisson; daughter, Leticia Glisson of Nashville, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Misti (Michael) Meredith of Paragould; grandchildren, Taylor (Destiny) Lowe and Terren Mann both of Nashville, and Jacob and Maddie Meredith of Paragould; great grandchildren, Sophia and Brilee Lowe of Nashville, Tennessee; and a great grandson on the way; sister, Dora (Joe) Lincoln of Maynard; niece, LaNae (Blake) Campbell of Brookland; great nieces and nephews BayLee, JayCee, Toby, and Blakely all of Brookland; and his beloved dog, Hoss and pet racoon, Lucky.

Cremation has been chosen as the means of final disposition. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
