Darrell Walker

Darrell Rickey Walker, 86, of Pocahontas joined His Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
Darrell was born March 11, 1937, to the late Rev. Lonnie Walker and Dora Rickey Walker in Okean, AR. Darrell owned and operated Walker’s Catfish and Seafood where he was known as “Hot Fish”. He also served in the US Army and US Air Force. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and a longtime member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church where he was honored to serve the Lord by teaching Sunday School for over 25 years. Darrell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and loved spending time with his family.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Dora Walker, and Rev Lonnie Walker; brothers, Deloss Walker and Denver Walker; sisters, Glenda Pigue and Joyce Bennett; son, Jeffery Walker and infant son Darrell Gregory Walker; granddaughter, Braelynn Walker. He is survived by the love of his life of 41 years, Patricia Adams Walker; daughter, Krysha “Krickett” Harmon (Mark) of Jonesboro and son, Wesley Walker (Lindsay) of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Wesley) Dunnam of Brookland, Rebekah Harmon of Jonesboro, Tucker Walker of Pocahontas, Thatcher Walker of Pocahontas, Christen (Preston) Brown of Protem, MO., Justen Harmon of Republic, MO.; great grandchildren, William Dunnam and Russell Dunnam of Brookland, Bryce Collins, Walker Brown, Harlow Brown of Protem, MO., and Lance Harmon of FL.
Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2024, with Celebration of Life to begin at 12:00 P.M. with Kenneth Winningham and Mark Harmon officiating. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lawrence Memorial Park.
