CLETIS NEECE

Cletis Rosalan Rickey Neece, a beloved wife, mother, Memaw, and devoted church member, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on July 31, 1933, in Delaplaine, Arkansas, to the late Harry and Hazel Martin Rickey. Cletis shared a remarkable 74 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Eldridge Neece of Pocahontas.
Her life was a testament to her deep love and dedication to her family. For nearly 50 years, Cletis shared her musical talents as the organist at Sutton Free Will Baptist Church in Pocahontas, where her melodies brought comfort and joy to the congregation. Her commitment to her faith and community was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was well known for her delicious fresh apple cake, a treat that brought smiles to many and much lively competition at church fundraising auctions. She was known for her warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering support, touching the lives of many with her kindness. Cletis was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hazel Rickey; her beloved son, Robbin Neece; and her brothers, Lowrey Rickey and Leon Rickey. She’ll be profoundly missed by her loving family. Cletis is survived by her husband, Eldridge; her son, Ricky Neece (Dan Jensen) of Warrensburg, Missouri; and her daughter, Rhonda (Victor) Stone of Pocahontas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandsons, Andrew (Brittany) Stone and Sean (Claire) Stone, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Cletis was a proud Memaw to great-grandchildren Xander, Oakley, and Scarlett, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of her fourth greatgrandchild in January. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Rickey Ring, and three brothers, Billy Rickey, Clifton Rickey, and Terry Rickey; along with numerous nephews and nieces who held a special place in her heart. Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Sutton Free Will Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM with Brother Kevin Barnett officiating. Those honored to serve as pallbearers were her grandsons, Andrew and Sean Stone, and nephews, Randy Ring, Steve Ring, Cody Rickey, and Casey Rickey. Services were under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
