Lady Redskin Volleyball Rally For The Win Against Piggott

The Pocahontas Lady Redskins traveled to Piggott Monday, Sept. 23, to face the Lady Mohawks in non-conference volleyball action. Piggott won the first set 27-25 but Pocahontas bounced back and took the next three sets 25-12, 25-20 and 25-22. Lillie Thielemier led the Lady Skins with 21 digs, Audrey Murphy had 17 assists, Violet Lynch had 15 kills, Lauren Chester had eight aces and Jacalyn Chester had two blocks.

Pocahontas High School Announces Homecoming Maids and Theme

Pocahontas High School has rolled out its 2024 homecoming theme, “Redskins by 90”. The celebration will feature a parade and ceremonies, with dates and times to be announced soon. The homecoming maids are sophomore maids, Mary Morgan Jansen, Anna Overman and Jacalyn Chester. The Junior Maids are Ashley Baltz, Audrey Holt, Kenzie Ogden and Lilly Thielemier. The Senior Maids chosen are Blakey Williams, Carli Chester, Lauren Chester, Paisley Baltz and Abby Liebhaber.

X-Man leads Redskins to dominant win over Eagles

Ballard shines with three touchdowns as Pocahontas rolls past Greene County Tech, 38-12 Xavyer Ballard, also known as “X-Man,” delivered an electrifying performance Friday night, leading the Pocahontas Redskins to a commanding 38-12 victory over the Greene County Tech Eagles at Schoonover Stadium. Ballard ignited the Redskins’ offense early in the second quarter, breaking free for a 44-yard touchdown run that put Pocahontas on the board. Brendyn Arnold’s extra point made it 7-0, setting the tone for a night dominated by the home team.
