The Pocahontas Lady Redskins celebrated Senior Night Tuesday, Oct. 15, with a three game sweep of the Highland Lady Rebels 25-15, 25-13 and 26-24.

In a game stained by steady rain brought by the remnants of Hurricane Helene, the Pocahontas Redskins came up just short, losing 10-7 to the Southside Southerners in a gritty matchup Friday night, Sept. 27 at Schoonover Stadium.
The PHS Lady Sr Redskins went from feast to famine Thursday, Sept. 26, at Southside High School. Pocahontas took the first two sets 25-23 and 25-20 but the Southerners came back taking the next three sets 25-15, 2513 and 15-13 to win the match.
Redskin Seniors Carli Chester and Brynn Smith qualified for the 4A State Tennis Tournament by placing second in 3-4A District tournament play Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Jonesboro.
With the recent passing of Council Member Larry High, a vacancy has been created on the Biggers Town Council. The position will be filled by appointment at the upcoming council meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 15. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Pocahontas High School Class of 2004 will hold their 20-year class reunion on Friday, Nov. 1 at the Pocahontas versus Blytheville home football game.
