The Pocahontas Redskins Swim Team hosted their first high school swim meet of the 2024-2025 season with 70 swimmers participating from Brookland, Greene County Tech, Heber Springs, Hoxie, Jonesboro, Mountain Home, Searcy, Walnut Ridge, and Westside-Jonesboro. The Lady Redskins placed 3rd and the boys placed 5th.
The Pocahontas Jr Lady Redskins swept both games in the Southside Classic at Batesvile Southside defeating Tuckerman 39-23 and Bradford 39-34. In defeating Tuckerman, Aubrey Coffey led Pocahontas with 14 points.
The Maynard Jr Lady Tigers jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the Marmaduke Jr Lady Greyhounds 49-23 Thursday, Nov. 14, at Marmaduke.
