Mike has a “bean bowl” that was a small cup of his grandma’s. He’s used it for a tasting dish for beans, soup, etc. for over 50 years. The other day he wanted me to taste something and brought it to me in that bowl. I was both honored and scared. I’ve already broke his mom’s wooden jelly spoon and his dad’s filet knife. I feel my days are numbered if I break the bean bowl.
