This past weekend I attended Maynard Pioneer Days for the first time, and all I can say is wow. The streets were packed with families waiting for the parade. Children scrambled for candy, determined to grab that one piece before another hand reached it. The park was clean, full of vendors, and alive with the sounds of laughter, music and conversation. I even spotted a sasquatch, though I made the mistake of passing on a selfie, something I now regret.
