He worked as a farmer, as a mechanic for the City of Pocahontas, and was a member of N o r t h s i d e F r e e w i l l B a p t i s t Church.

Diane Zelda Hill 67 of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, January 9 2022 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Diane was born in Pocahontas to the late Lloyd and Lorene Hill and grew up in Northeast Arkansas.

Ellen Starlene “Star” Richardson Kerley, 57, of Maynard, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Star was born on Sunday, September 13, 1964, in Smithville, Indiana, to G.W. and Maxine Dickson Richardson.

Cynthia Gail Hart-Layton
Cynthia Gail Hart-Layton, 59, of Maynard passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at St. B e r n a r d’s M e d i c a l Center in Jonesboro. Cynthia, l o v i n g l y known as Ninnie and Mrs. Tubby, was born January 30, 1962, in Pocahontas to Joseph Gary and D o r o t h y J e a n J o h n s o n Hart. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Doniphan, Bay, and Couch. She enjoyed art, deer hunting, shopping, and crafting. She was a member of Old Reyno Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Ethel Hart, Johnnie and Vera Johnson, and Russell “Doc” Spencer; and aunts and uncles, Charles and Carolyn Johnson, and Bob and Mary Johnson.

Joyce Prater, 80 of Somerville, TN formerly of Pocahontas passed away January 17, 2022. She was born July 9, 1941, to Kid and Violet Reeves in W a l n u t R i d g e , AR.

R.C. Rexroad
R.C. Rexroad, 85, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away in his home on December 31, 2021. R.C. was born in Pocahontas, AR, on July 27, 1936, the son of Berry Rexroad and Edna Boyd R e x r o a d . After the death of his mother, he was raised by his loving stepmother, Ruby Crawford Rexroad.
Benny Waymon
After a long and full life, Benny passed away at home and on to a better place to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. He wasn’t alone, Cassi and Linda were by his side, holding is hands. Though he will be terribly missed by his family and friends, we are glad that even in our sorrow he is no longer suffering.
