Clara Jean Slawson, 76, of Ravenden Springs passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at her home. She was born August 15, 1945 in Salem, AR to the late George William Ruby Inez Carruthers Wilson.
Jack Hutton Adams, 77 of Reyno passed away March 14, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR.
Margaret Ann Carlton Brooks passed away peacefully on March 5, 2022. She was born in Winchester, TN September 3, 1933, the daughter of Cam Roy and Sally Jane Carlton. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and two sons, David Scott Brooks and Gregory Lyndon Brooks.
Dena Marie Stroud Derbes, 76, was born October 14, 1945, in Rural Lawrence County to Frank and Winnie Higginbothem Stroud. She left this life on March 3, 2022, to be with her Lord.
Frances B. Riga, age 86, passed away March 8, 2022. She was the youngest daughter and last surviving child of the late Joe and Anna (Junkersfeld) Sorg of Pocahontas, AR. Frances attended St. Paul’s parish school. As a young woman, Frances followed several brothers and sisters to Anderson, IN. There, she wed (1953) the late Ivo J. Riga of Jonesboro, AR.
Frankie McCann Friddle A native of Pocahontas, Arkansas and a resident of Livonia, La passed away on March 4, 2022 at the age 63.. She was always full of life and it showed in her day to day life.
Terrill Luter, 78, made a peaceful transition to his heavenly home on November 23, 2021 after an extended battle with lung cancer. Terrill was born on June 30, 1943 to Theo and Nadine Luter in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He spent his youth there working on his family dairy farm until he graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1961.
Deronda Gail (Jackson) Luter, 80, was called to her eternal home on February 28, 2022. Not only did she see the face of Jesus, but she was reunited with the love of her life, Terrill, who she lost only three short months ago. Gail was born on November 28, 1941 to Ray and Juanita Jackson in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1961.
Betty Jean Hatfield Turner, 79, of Warm Springs passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at her home. She was born April 6, 1942 in Pikeville, KY to the late Jack and Opal Williamson Hatfield. She was a graduate of Rockford Beauty Academy. She owned and operated Coiffure Corner beauty salon in Rockford IL. She was an active member of the Moose Club in Rockford, IL. Her greatest joy in life was her home and her time with her husband Ken, family, and friends. In recent years she especially enjoyed watching her great grandchildren Kylie, Kendall, and Kensington as they’ve grown. She found great joy in cooking for family and friends and making happy memories. She also enjoyed the companionship of her little dog, Pandy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Opal Williamson Hatfield; brother, Jack Hatfield Smith; sister, Dorles Morrison; and brother-in-law, Howard Morrison. Betty is survived by her husband Kenneth D. Turner; sons, Dale (Alanna) Turner and Tim (Karen) Turner of Rockford, IL; daughter, Teresa (Chris) Bahr of Winnebago, IL; grandchildren, Naomi (Jim)Maddox, Bruce (Laura) Turner, Jared (Megan)Turner, Jonathan (Sara) Turner, Tiffany (Eddie) Williams; Jennifer (Curt) Busse, and Megan (Eddie)Holden; great grandchildren, Kylie, Kendall, and Kensington Busse; siblings, David (Linda) Hatifeld of Churchill, TN, Frances (Howard) Triplett of Dandridge, TN, and Sue Smith of Covington, GA, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2022 from 10 AM-12 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with burial to follow in Warm Springs Cemetery. Betty’s family is especially grateful to Jada Turner for all the special loving care that she gave to Betty.
