Barbara Jean Mahan Butcher of Santa Fe, Texas, died Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Galveston, Texas at the age of 75. Barbara was born October 3, 1947 to Thelma and Edwin Mahan.

Robert “Bob” Thomas Gravlin Jr., fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, died August 2, 2022. Beloved son of the late Robert Gravlin, Sr. and Catherine (Schaller) Gravlin; loving husband of 37 years, to Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Frankenberger, formerly of Pocahontas) Gravlin; cherished father of Kristen (Steve) Schreiber, Tim, and Jeanna Gravlin; cherished grandfather of Elliott, Bennett, and Scarlett; dear brother, uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Mary Virginia Martin, 49, of Pocahontas passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Henryetta Boozer, 83, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at Lawrence Hall Health and Rehab in Walnut Ridge. She was born October 31, 1938 in O’Kean to the late Henry Carl and Nora Ivy Brown Brandon.

Mary Hopkins, 78, of Maynard, passed away October 9, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

David Nathaniel Hedge, 78, of Biggers, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital, in Jonesboro. David was born on Tuesday, November 2, 1943, in Biggers, to Aldon “Slim” and Ruby Louise Pearl Jackson Hedge.

Martha Matlin Harris Elliott, 85, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on Thursday, June 10, 1937, in Cullman, Alabama, to Floyd and Maybelle Hyatt Harris.

Elvena English of Pocahontas, Arkansas, age 92, passed away at Randolph County Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. She was born to Forrest and Bertha Stogsdill on November 29, 1929. She was united in marriage to Ernest Cowan English on May 3, 1952. She was a member of the Westridge Church of Christ. A lifetime member of #40 D.A.V. auxiliary. She retired from Pro Group Golf Bag Company.

Dorothy Gardner Flagg passed away at Randolph Home October 2, 2022 at the age of 93. Dorothy Mae was born September 25, 1929 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Hazel Lucille Martin, 94 of Pocahontas passed away September 23, 2022 at St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Hazel was born December 2, 1927 in Shell Knob, MO. to the late James “Jim” Jennings and Mary Francis Manning Jennings. She was one of the first switchboard operators in Randolph County. She also worked at Pocahontas Federal Savings and Loan.
