Mrs. Barnes, daughter of the late Avon and Minnie (Winters) Gibson, was born December 9, 1927, in Poyner, MO On December 4, 1947. She married Allen D. Barnes in Poyner. He preceded her in death.

Ken Stacy Layton, 58, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at his home. Ken was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 5th, 1965 to a beautiful and selfless woman who, because of circumstances, gave him and his twin sister Kem up for adoption. Five months later, he and his sister were adopted by an equally beautiful and selfless couple, Arthur and Emily (Hembrey) Layton.

Douglas was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on December 25, 1955, to Chester Douglas Parsons Sr. and Verna Mae Jones Parsons Douglas is survived by his wife, Brenda Parsons; daughters Stephanie Parsons of Pocahontas and Samantha (Richard) Mitchell of Water Valley; grandchildren Jordan (Sydney) Smith, Vivian (Dylan McQueen) Smith, and Alexandra Jones; 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; Brothers: Billy Parsons of Pocahontas and Timmy (Sandy) Parsons of Jonesboro; sisters Anna (William) Richmond, Lily Young, and Carolyn Benton all of Pocahontas; and many nieces and nephews family and friends.
