Joe Louis Huddleston, 80, of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Joe was born on Wednesday, February 11, 1943, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Pat and Edna Huddleston.

Shirley Ann Gillean, 77, of Pocahontas departed this life on November 16, 2023, in Randolph Homes. Shirley was born November 11, 1946, to the late Irvin Bell and Mamie Tinker Bell in Bono, Arkansas.

Thomas Nelson Bounds, 77, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Thomas was born on Thursday, September 26, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Homer Nelson and Esther Kaiser Bounds.

Kenneth “Sonny” Mathews, 80, of Pocahontas departed this life on November 15, 2023, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Daniel Luther Peterson, age 69, of Pocahontas, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, leaving this big void in our hearts and lives. He was born, April 21, 1954, the oldest beloved son to Danny and Willene (Lawson) Peterson and grew up in Forrest City, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Dan Peterson.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janis Gayle (Gearhart) Borden of Jonesboro on Monday, November 6, 2023. Janis is survived by her devoted daughter, Chrissy (Manning) King; and husband Matt; stepdaughters, Tina Borden Craig (Barry) and Belinda Borden Lambert (Wilson); grandchildren Addison, Andrew, Heather, Dalton, Madison, Ryan, Reid and Kathryn; great-grandchildren, Rory, Ryleigh and Mary John.

Ruth Ann Cox, 85, of Pocahontas went to her forever home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born December 30, 1937, in Calvert, TX to the late Joseph Cloud and Irene Knapp Cloud. Ruth Ann loved everyone she met because she only saw the good in people. She always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Ruth Ann loved serving others in so many ways, whether by being a den mother for the cub scouts, volunteering countless hours as the director of the Red Cross swimming lesson program, helping with vacation bible school, or serving in various capacities at the Methodist Church. She especially loved music and singing with her Methodist choir family for over 60 years.
