The Big 50 Night Shoot at the Five Rivers Shooting Sports Complex was held on June 7. John Dalton donating the HOA prize. The next shoot will be the 300 ATA on June 28.
The annual Ravenden Springs School Reunion will be held on Saturday, June 14. We will gather at 11 a.m. at the old Ravenden Springs school and will share a potluck meat at noon. Fried chicken will be provided. A $10 donation for the upkeep of the school will get you a good lunch. Kids under 12 eat free. Come and enjoy visiting with old friends and classmates from Ravenden Springs and Oak Ridge schools.
The Junior Auxiliary of Randolph County has kicked off its equipment donation event, set to end on June 13. The initiative is aimed at collecting gently used athletic gear to support local youth athletes for the upcoming season. Members of the organization will be stationed at the gates during Thursday’s game from 6:45 p.m. to approximately 7:15-7:30 p.m. to receive donations. Additional drop-off opportunities will also be available following the game.

Randolph County 4-H had an impressive showing at the Delta District 4-H Food Challenge, held on May 21st at the Greene County Extension Office, with both Junior and Senior teams showcasing their culinary talents and teamwork.

This designation places ProMed among the top 5% of ambulance providers in the state and makes it the only service in South Arkansas to receive this distinction.
Following President Trump’s Major Disaster Declaration in response to Arkansas’ March 14-15 storms and tornadoes and his announcement that he would provide Individual Assistance to Arkansans impacted by these storms, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders today announced that the State will provide Public Assistance to storm-impacted county and local governments.

A packed room of concerned parents and community members attended the Pocahontas School Board of Education meeting on May 19, where discussions centered on proposed changes to the sixth-grade beginner band program.
