The recent auction of tax-delinquent properties in Greene and surrounding counties raised over $242,000, the Commissioner of State Lands announced.
The Growing Minds Foundation Fall Festival to be held Oct. 4
The Growing Minds Foundation Fall Festival will take place on October 4 at the Black River Overlook Park. There is a full day of events planned with the 5K beginning at 8 a.m. Food Trucks, games, music and so much more are planned for the day with admission being free.
Pocahontas Airport Commission is seeking a part time airport attendant
The Pocahontas Airport commission is taking applications for a part time (weekend) Airport Attendant. Duties will include: aircraft refueling, building and grounds maintenance, janitorial services, customer service and some administrative support. Attendant will report to the Airport Manager and the Airport Commission. Applications may be picked up and dropped off at the airport terminal located at 2006 Airways Ln, Pocahontas.
Flu vaccine clinic to be hosted by Pocahontas School District
The Pocahontas School District will be hosting a flu vaccine clinic along with the Randolph County Health Department on October 15 and October 16. The health department will be on campus to administer flu vaccines to students and staff. Consent forms will be sent home with students. If you would like your child to receive the vaccine, please complete the consent form and return to your child’s school nurse by October 10. Please call your child’s school nurse with any questions at 870-892-4573.
