Mass casualty training conducted Pocahontas Elementary School

On Friday, June 30, the newly constructed Pocahontas Elementary School served as the venue for an extensive mass casualty training exercise. The event brought together various local agencies, including the Pocahontas Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, numerous EMS (Emergency Medical Ser vices) units, fire departments, first responders and approximately 50 dedicated volunteers.

Rachel Koons takes position on CASA board

Gateway CASA, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in the 3rd Judicial District of Arkansas, is delighted to welcome Rachel Koons as a new member of its Board of Directors. City of Maynard honored

Maynard was recognized with the prestigious Four-Star Municipality Award during the 89th Annual Convention of the Arkansas Municipal League, which took place from June 14-16. This accolade is bestowed annually upon municipalities that have displayed outstanding performance in various areas such as employee safety, wellness, vehicle safety and the prevention of legal liabilities.
