
A 115-Year Legacy of Service to Community
It was a quiet morning in the old Randolph County Bank Office in mid-March 1908. Outside a cold rain fell steadily. There were few customers that morning. The bank’s young assistant cashier, Lantie Martin, gazed thoughtfully through the window across court square…at the mud streets, the courthouse with its iron picket fence to keep out the hogs and cattle, and the brick buildings, which lined the south and west sides of the square.
