Black River Technical College (BRTC) will host a child abuse awareness event at noon on Thursday, April 25 in the BRTC Administration building lobby. The event is free and open to the public.
Thirty-five-year employee and Black River Technical College (BRTC) Automotive Technology Instructor Larry “Butch” Dail of Ravenden has been named the BRTC Spring 2024 commencement keynote speaker.
Kaleb Exum of Paragould has been awarded the Rick Bozwell Memorial Scholarship, made possible by funding from the Knights of Columbus 2443 in Pocahontas. Exum is a 2023 graduate of Greene County Tech High School and is the son of Michael and April Exum.
Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter Beta Delta Phi recently traveled to the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith to attend the regional PTK conference. Two PTK members and officers, Co-Vice President of Community Service Elizabeth Spinks and Co-Vice President of College Project Kaleigh Lester, attended guest lectures, team bonding sessions, and other fun networking events.

Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) fire science program recently assisted the American Military University Cold Case Team (AMUCCT) in recreating a murder scene that had been destroyed by fire. Linda Malcom was a 47-year-old Navy Veteran who worked as a paralegal in Port Orchard, Washington.

Several local economic development partners will co-host a regional job fair at Black River Technical College in Pocahontas on Wednesday, April 17 from 9am to 2pm. The NEA Intermodal, Black River Technical College, Randolph County Chamber of Commerce and Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will cohost the event, which will give job seekers access to hundreds of available jobs in Northeast Arkansas.

Taylor Binkley of Beebe has received the HARPS Foods Scholarship made possible by funding from Harps Foods. Binkley is a 2022 Beebe High School graduate and the daughter of Sid Binkley and Angela Jones.
