Scholarships available for Arkansas students

Scholarships are now available for eligible Arkansas students through Arkansas Community Foundation. The Community Foundation’s scholarships are for Arkansas students pursuing education at two- or fouryear colleges or universities, vocational schools or technical training programs. Each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria. Some scholarships are designated for graduates of a particular high school or those who plan to attend a particular college. Others are based on extracurricular activities or intended college majors.

Daughters of American Revolution honor Veteran’s for Veteran’s Day

Five Rivers Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution in Pocahontas thanks Veterans for their service and honor them for Veteran’s Day. Members of the Five Rivers Chapter met and assembled 85 bags filled with candy and a note attached thanking them for their service, sacrifice and commitment to the preservation of our freedom.

Utley and Clark Announce Wedding

Seth and Autumn Clark of Pocahontas would like to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their son Jace Shannon Clark, to Dessie Marie Utley, the daughter of the late Michelle Utley. Jace is the grandson of Steve and Cindy Stout of Maynard, Preston and Janet Clark of Imboden, and Debbie Shannon of Black Rock.
