Ravenden recently received a grant through the Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Rural Services Block Grant program. The grant was for $97,000 and will go towards fire equipment. East Arkansas Planning & Development District was instrumental in writing the grant.

Scholarships are now available for eligible Arkansas students through Arkansas Community Foundation. The Community Foundation’s scholarships are for Arkansas students pursuing education at two- or fouryear colleges or universities, vocational schools or technical training programs. Each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria. Some scholarships are designated for graduates of a particular high school or those who plan to attend a particular college. Others are based on extracurricular activities or intended college majors.

Members of the Five Rivers Chapter met and assembled 85 bags filled with candy and a note attached thanking them for their service, sacrifice and commitment to the preservation of our freedom.
