A Celebration of Life will be held at the Palestine Cemetery to honor the late L.A. Hayes on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11 AM. L.A. loved his Arkansas Razorbacks, so please dress casually and wear a Razorback shirt or a red shirt, if needed.

Juanita Christine Winslow of Elk Grove CA / Maynard AR passed away Sunday the 3rd of July, 2022. Juanita was born on June 4, 1927, in Lapile, Arkansas to John J Cummings and Zella Mae Cummings.
Minnie Irene Barber, 82, of Maynard passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born May 12, 1940 in Reyno to the late Dave and Leonia Tilley Nash.
Johnny Mack Toler, 74, of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away on July 9, 2022 due to a rare form of metastatic skin cancer. He was born on April 23, 1948 in Pollard, Arkansas to Charley and Ethel Wall Toler. The Toler family moved to Texas shortly after Johnny’s birth and returned to Arkansas when he was 8. He grew up in the Fender community near Pocahontas. He began working as a farm hand at age 12 with his father and brothers. He continued farm work for the next 34 years. He also worked at Pro Group, the old drive-in theater, and fried donuts at Harvest Foods. He always returned to the job he loved, farm work.
Doris Halcomb, 69, of Pocahontas passed away July 7, 2022 at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro. Mrs.
Margaret “Peggy” G. Duff, age 70 of Maynard, AR passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 in Clare, MI. Peggy was born the daughter of Charles and Mermian (Samons) Bellah on October 6, 1951 in Muskegon, MI. She was united in marriage to Paul Duff on March 3, 1979. Following her marriage she moved from Michigan to Arkansas. Peggy had worked as a Computer Technician in the Education field but her true passion was being an artist. She loved to paint realism pictures in Acrylics and Watercolors; her paintings hang throughout galleries in Arkansas. She loved farm life including spending time with the cattle, her dogs, and any furry four legged friend that stopped by.
Phillip Charles “Charlie” Brown, 75, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home. He was born September 14, 1946 in Black Rock to the late Charlie Wilson and Ethel Phillips Brown.
Earl Eugene Ramsey, 90, of Biggers passed away June 16, 2022, at his home. Earl was born October 4, 1931, in Pocahontas to the late Lehman and Delia Oliver Ramsey.
Joseph Barry Wyland, 86, of Pocahontas, passed away June 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Joe was born November 21, 1935 in Cresson, PA to Norman and Mary Monica Waltz Wyland.
