Hazel was born December 2, 1927 in Shell Knob, MO. to the late James “Jim” Jennings and Mary Francis Manning Jennings. She was one of the first switchboard operators in Randolph County. She also worked at Pocahontas Federal Savings and Loan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Kammien, Lorene Bales Kammien; and brothers, Guy, Bob, and Larry.
