JOSEPH R. MOORE

Joseph R. Moore, 80 formerly of Pocahontas, AR passed away Friday, August 30,2024 in Rogers, AR. He was born July 4,1944 in Beaumont, TX to the late John J Moore and Eileen (Thompson) Moore. Joe graduated from Pocahontas High School, Arkansas State University, and the University of Arkansas. He taught in the political science department at Arkansas State University, before moving to Little Rock where he worked in state and federal positions for over 30 years. Upon his retirement in 2006 he returned to Pocahontas to live. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers, John Moore, Jr and James L. Moore. He is survived by his two sisters, Carolyn Goff (James) of Bentonville, Virginia Moore of Centerton, AR, his nephew, Michael Goff, his niece, Julie Joyner (Stephen), and great nieces, Kelsey and Kristen Joyner. Michael Richard “Ricky” Wells, 76, of Pocahontas, formerly of Jonesboro passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Ricky was born February 17, 1948 to Elmer Richard and Cona Jean Wells in Randolph Couty. Ricky was a master electrician and later returned to school and became an LPN. He was an amateur photographer, loved the outdoors, enjoyed watching westerns, and was a golf enthusiast. He was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith. MADISON FORD HUTSELL

Madison Ford Hutsell, 32, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday August 6, 2024. She was born in Memphis, TN on October 17, 1991, to Lyndal Hutsell and Kim Ford Hutsell. Madison, although leaving too early to join her Lord, left a lasting impression upon the earth and to those who were honored to know her by continually showing her strength, courage and perseverance as well as her love and faith for our Lord. She celebrated her faith everyday through her love of singing hymns, prayer, and bible study and gave all these everything she had to give. Madison loved those she loved with all her whole heart. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clay and Mae Hutsell, and maternal grandparents, Don and Nina Ford. She is survived by her parents, Lyndal (Teresa) Hutsell of Pocahontas and Kim Ford Hutsell of Pocahontas; aunt, Sheila (Jeff) Archer, uncle, Mike Ford, aunt, Sheree (John) Hamm, and aunt, Sonja (Buddy) Smith; cousins, Audra (Randy) Land, Dustin (Crystal) Thompson, Brandon Ford, Justin (Holly) Hamm and stepbrothers, Tanner (Emily) Britt, and Logan (Rebecca) Britt. Madison also left behind many dear cherished friends such as Brandy Grider, Haley Quest, Jessica Thielemier, Kathy Erazo and Amanda Plumley, who she viewed as her best friends, that loved and helped care for her as well as a host of others who served to care for her in preceding years. She also left behind her “honey,” Danny Wells, who continually gave his love and time to her as well. Visitation will be held 5:00 7:00 PM Thursday August 8, 2024, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the Skaggs Church of Christ with Gerald Fears and Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Brandy Grider, Haley Quest, Jessica Thielemier, Kathy Erazo, Amanda Plumley, Doug Thielemier and Tanner Britt.
