Bryn Kent Ulmer, 87, of the Stokes community passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at St. Bernard’s Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas.

He was born February 19, 1936, in Stokes to the late William Collins “Bill” and Grace Marie Hord Ulmer. Bryn was a devoted family man who enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports and was an avid trail rider. Bryn was a faithful member of the Stokes Church of Christ where he served in numerous capacities including elder, song leader, and Bible class teacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Grace Ulmer; granddaughter, Chelsey Linebaugh; brother, Billy Ulmer; sister, Aster Johnston; brothers-inlaw, James Johnston and Barry Koons, Sr; and son-in-law, Wayne Linebaugh.

Bryn is survived by his wife, Barbara Bueton McMillan Ulmer; children, Michael (Janis) Ulmer of Stokes, Renee Linebaugh of Walnut Ridge, Ronna (Wayne) Penn of Pocahontas, and Michelle (Tommy) Watson of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Heath Ulmer, Bridget Penn, Dustin (Myranda) Ulmer, Amanda (Brian) Junkersfeld, Ryan (Lydia) Ulmer, Braden (Lauren) Watson, Cory (Madison) Watson, Colton (Allie) Watson, Sydney (Eric) Linebaugh, and Bryce (Abby) Penn; twenty- four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Dexter Ulmer, Kathleen Ulmer, and Pat Koons; and many other relatives, friends, and trail riding buddies.

Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2023, from 5-8 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10 AM at Stokes Church of Christ with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Brockett Cemetery.

Bryn’s grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Sheets, Archie Matheny, and Mc-Dowell Milam.
