From the Pocahontas Democrat Newspaper office in 1917... Although the Pocahontas Star Herald is the lone newspaper in Randolph County, with the honor of being the oldest business in the area, there has been many other newspapers published throughout the county’s history. One of them being the Pocahontas Democrat. The picture above shows Editor Hinson with Anna Kolley. Mrs. Kolley would later work for the Star Herald through the late 1950s.
