ALBERT LOUIS BALTZ

 Albert Louis Baltz, 82, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, surrounded by his loving family.
 Born on November 30, 1942, in Pocahontas to Dr. Matt and Mary Louise Baltz, Albert was the sixth of eight children. He grew up in a family rooted in faith, service, and community foundation that would guide his life’s work. On June 13, 1964, Albert married the love of his life, Rose Thielemier. Together, they built a family grounded in faith, love, and a commitment to serving others. Albert pursued a career in medicine, graduating from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1967. He served his country as a captain in the United States Air Force, stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, LA, and later worked as a medical doctor at a civilian hospital in Phan Rang during the Vietnam War in 1969. He completed his military service at Jacksonville Air Force Base before returning home to join his father, Dr. Matt Baltz, as a Family Physician at Little Flower Hospital in Pocahontas. Albert later partnered with other physicians to establish the Pocahontas Medical Clinic. For more than four decades, he cared for generations of families, providing compassionate care to the young and old of his beloved community.
 Outside of medicine, Albert cherished time with his family, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and treasured trips to the cabin with “The Boys of Macedonia.” He was a man who valued relationships deeplywhether with his family, friends, or patients.
 Albert was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
 He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Rose; his children Lisa (Sam) Riggs, Susie (Rob) Roberts, David (Karla) Baltz, Julie (Joe) Muse, and Brian (Rachel) Baltz; his grandchildren Austin (Nichole) Riggs, Hannah Riggs, Emily (Jonathan) Hobbs, Krista (Dylan) Gray, Brad Roberts, Ryan (Paige) Roberts, Spencer Baltz, Logan Baltz, Brenna Baltz, Mason Baltz, Jackson (Jillian) Muse, Abi Muse, Gavin Muse, Addison Baltz, Peyton Ahrent, Molly Kate Baltz, and Hudson Baltz; and his great-grandchildren Hazel Riggs, Vyolette Riggs, Benson Muse, and a great-grandson on the way. He is also survived by his siblings Guy (Joan) Baltz, Rita Dust, Genie Harper, and Janet Holt.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Mary Louise Baltz, and his sisters Mary Therese Davis, Madeleine Throesch, and Millie Kueter.
 Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, from 57 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with a Rosary to follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 26, at 10 a.m., also at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Engelberg.
 Pallbearers are his nine grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Danny Holt, Dr. Andrew Jansen, Guy Baltz, Lloyd Lewallen, Chuck Couch, Kelly Rose, Kris Rose, Kevin Rose, Mike Thielemier, and Pat Thielemier.
 Dr. Albert will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his patients, and deep love for his family and community. His legacy of service and compassion will live on in the lives of all who knew him.
