Gerard “Jerry” Paul

Pfeffer, 74, departed this life on August 25, 2024, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born June 26, 1950, to the late Paul Joseph Pfeffer and Faye Clark Pfeffer in Pocahontas.

He was a graduate of St. Paul High School. He was a disabled Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed bingo, gardening, and dirt track racing. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and riding his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren on the tractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Faye Pfeffer; brothers, Larry Pfeffer Tom Pfeffer and Francis Pfeffer. Jerry is survived by his children, Jeff (Holly Brower) Pfeffer, Anthony (Ashley Ortgiesen) Pfeffer, Chad Pfeffer and Mandy Pfeffer Scott all from Pocahontas; grandchildren, Paul (Emileigh) Pfeffer, Dustin (Haley) Pfeffer, Trenton (Taylor) Pfeffer, Keaton and Greyson Scott, Dalton McFadden, and Natalie Anderson; great-grandchildren, Aerial, Waylon, Ayda, and Gracelyn; siblings, Linda Caffrey, Pat Frankenberger, Theresa Blissenbach, Nikki Gullett, Steve (Angie) Pfeffer and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2024, 5:00 7:00 PM with Rosary to begin at 7:00pm in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church with Father Elser officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Bruce Brodell, Eddie Endicott, Tony Brown, Edward Lane, Chris Nichols and Jamie Starr. Honorary pallbearers include Cam Crawford, Jim Steimel and Mike “Opie” Biby.
