Alma Kathryn Knott Kaemper (nee Bailey), 89, of O’Fallon, IL, born on May 30, 1934, in Dalton, AR, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024.

Alma was a member of the National Organization of Medical Staff Services at both Touchette Hospital and Memorial Hospital medical services. She enjoyed reading mystery books and Amish history, cooking, walking, and the local YMCA. Alma went to Uganda on a mission trip and enjoyed cruises. She was an active Member at First Baptist O’Fallon and a member of the choir at the church, and she was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Herma Bailey (nee Marshall); her first husband, Rev. Melvin Knott; one grandson, Joshua Knott; one brother, Mose Bailey; one sister, Fern (Glen) Bibb; one daughter, Pamela Fern Knott; one stepson, Lee Kaemper; and one daughter-in-law, Penny Knott. Alma is survived by her loving husband, Gary Kaemper of O’Fallon, IL; two children, Andy Knott of Addieville, IL, Mark Knott of O’Fallon, IL; one stepdaughter, Lori (Gary) Landoll of O’Fallon, IL; one brother, Melvin (Sue) Bailey of Pocahontas, AR; six grandchildren, Andrew (Sierra) Knott, Alexander (Katie) Knott, Michael Landoll, Christopher Landoll, Emily Landoll, Rachel Landoll; and five great-grandchildren, Pella Claire Knott, Waylon Andrew Knott, Oskar James Knott, Clayton Lee Knott, and Clara Sue Elizabeth Knott.

A memorial service will begin on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of O’Fallon; 1111 E. Hwy 50, O’Fallon, IL 62269, with Rev. Doug Munton officiating.
